On August 14, 2024, the Manuel V. Gallego Foundation College (MVGFC) marked a pivotal moment in its history with the groundbreaking ceremony for a new building, heralding the dawn of a new era for the institution. The event, steeped in symbolism and promise, was a celebration of progress, vision, and the unwavering commitment to education and community development.

 

The brainchild behind this transformative project, Dr. Joseph L. Gallego, spoke with eloquence and heartfelt emotion during the ceremony. "This building is not just a structure," Dr. Gallego declared. "It is a historic and symbolic edifice that represents our collective hope for future development. This is just the beginning—our first step in what will be a series of advancements for this campus."

Dr. Gallego's words resonated deeply with those in attendance, as he envisioned the new building as a symbol of perseverance, dedication, and the relentless pursuit of excellence that has defined MVGFC. The construction of the building has been entrusted to Paver Construction, a team renowned for its dedication to quality and sustainability. The representatives from Paver Construction emphasized their commitment to creating a structure that would stand the test of time, stating, "Our team is determined to build a project that is sustainable, long-lasting, and, if possible, eco-friendly. We should go much beyond 100 years." Their pledge to ensure the building’s durability and safety for the next century highlights the lasting impact this project is intended to have on the college and its community.

 

The ceremony was graced by the presence of several key personalities from MVGFC, including Dr. Paolo T. Lumanlan (Dean of the Institute of Teacher Education), Dr. Raymond Tabajonda (Dean of the Institute of Criminal Justice Education), Dr. Arnel Sevilla (Dean of the Institute of Information and Communications Technology), Dr. Luzviminda Bundoc (Dean of the Institute of Business Management), Dr. Luckyhansell Cerezo (Dean of the Institute of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences), and Rachell P. Musngi, MSEd (Principal of the High School Department). Directors of various units also attended, underscoring the significance of this milestone for the entire institution.

 

The event, meticulously organized by the MVGFC Marketing Office under the leadership of Mrs. Arlyn Pahuriray, was a testament to the college's commitment to excellence and forward-thinking. The ceremony concluded with the burial of a symbolic time capsule, a gesture that encapsulates the hopes and aspirations of the college community for future generations.


                 The entire MVGFC family united in celebration as they witness the dawn of a new era.

 

As the first shovelfuls of earth were turned, it became clear that this was more than just the beginning of a construction project. It was the beginning of a new chapter in the storied history of the Manuel V.
